Overview

The walk follows the Taff Trail northwards before taking a steep mountain track to Eglwysilan Road leading to the Rhymney Valley Ridgeway Walk. With Senghenydd on our right, the path takes us onto Eglwysilan Common where we will enjoy far reaching views in all directions (weather permitting). Our lunch break will be enjoyed on a lovely rocky outcrop close to the trig point (355m). The return route takes a different path overlooking Pontypridd. Well behaved dogs on lead welcome as there will be sheep and cows on the mountain.
