Meet at the car park at the Golden Heart Inn at 9:45. This half-day autumn walk takes us down to the historic village of Brimpsfield with its Castle earthworks, and then across the Cotswold countryside along footpaths, bridleways and lanes, and back to Nettleton.
The walk will be followed at 12:30-1:00 pm by a meal at the Golden Heart for those who want one. GWG's Annual General Meeting will take place in the upstairs room from about 2 pm. All are invited. The meeting agenda will be circulated nearer the time.
Parking and facilities Free parking at the pub. Food orders to be submitted at the pub before the walk.
Dress Dress appropriately for the weather and terrain. Walking boots are recommended; you may find walking poles useful. While the walk avoids the wetter valleys, paths are likely to muddy.
Lunch / refreshments Refreshments and facilities are available at the pub. The pub has a Sunday lunch menu specialising in roasts. Before the day of the walk, please advise the walk leader if you would like to order lunch so that the pub knows how many to cater for. This can via Meetup or the web page contact link. Specific food orders can be made on the day.
Personal information Walkers are encouraged to carry identification and emergency contact details
Website link It is useful for the walk leader to know how many walkers to expect. RSVP through GWG’s Meetup app facility, or contact the walk leader via the website.
Pets Policy Unfortunately we can’t accommodate dogs except assistance dogs.
This walk is arranged by members of Ramblers and is free to join. After a few walks kindly consider becoming a member, giving you access to a huge range of led walks across the country, providing assistance with outdoor activity skills, and helping to keep public footpaths open.
