Overview

This 6.5 mile walk is especially designed for potential or new members who would prefer to start with a local walk.  However, EVERYONE is welcome.

The walk is FREE to attend and will pass several iconic Cardiff landmarks including the Pierhead building, Norwegian Church, and the Senedd before crossing the barrage and walking up a short steep hill into Penarth.  We will pause briefly at St Augustine's Church for views back across Cardiff Bay and city before continuing down to Penarth seafront and Pavilion where we will stop for refreshments, before walking along the seafront to the Cliff top park and playground and then heading for home via Windsor Gardens and back to our starting point.

The walk will take place on good quality surfaces and pavement and is mostly flat with the exception of a short hill up to St Augustine's Church and down to Penarth Pier (reversed on the return journey).
