Overview

This is a circular walk from Collingham through the gently undulating farmland between the village and the A46 at Potter Hill.

If visibility is good there are some views along the Trent Valley.

En route we pass the Halfway Home Dog Rescue Centre.

The route makes use of footpaths, bridleways and minor roads. There are no stiles although there are some gentle ascents/descents. The Nottingham-Lincoln railway line is crossed twice.

Although there was no livestock in any of the fields during the pre-walk evidence suggested there had been previously. Two sections of road walking are on busier roads but there are wide verges on both roads.

There will be a coffee stop so please bring your own refreshments.

Boots are advisable as the surface on some of the paths and lanes could be muddy, wet and/or uneven
