Welcome to the Collingham Ramblers group. We walk mainly in the picturesque countryside of Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire, with a starting point within an hour’s drive of Collingham.
Our organised walks take place throughout the year on alternate Sundays and once a month on Wednesday. They are led by experienced leaders who have pre-walked the route to ensure that there are no unexpected hazards or difficulties.
Our Sunday walks are usually 6-8 miles in length and incorporate a coffee and a lunch stop (picnic). Wednesday walks are approximately 4-5 miles in length and incorporate a coffee stop and usually end with a pub lunch.
Our group is still going strong after more than a quarter of a century! The emphasis is on relaxing, enjoying the countryside and chatting to people from many different backgrounds.
We are a friendly and welcoming group, who believe that a country walk is beneficial to everyone’s mental health as well as raising fitness levels. No special gear is needed on our easy to moderate walks – just walking shoes or boots and a waterproof jacket.
