Starting out over the flat but often muddy Weddington fields, before a short ascent up to the ancient woodland of Hartshill Hayes Country park, offering spectacular panoramic views over 4 counties before descending back down to Coventry canal to meander our way back to Nuneaton. Hopefully the club house will be open for a drink afterwards, or the Anker pub is opposite.
Well behaved dogs welcome, a small section of the walk is through a field of sheep, and potentially cattle.
Walking boots are needed due to a muddy field.
There are toilets and a coffee van at the lunch stop.
There's the 8:52 train from Birmingham New Street which arrives into Nuneaton at 9:21. It is about a 15 minute walk from Nuneaton Train station to the start point. We'll wait until the train arrives in case of any delays.
