Access from A396 direction to Nutcombe Bottom car park is blocked by a road closure barriers around a subsidence at the junction of Bonniton Lane & Whitswood Steep  (it is not just a weight restriction as shown on the SC Highway problems website).
Vehicle access to the starting point is still possible via Bonniton Lane >Broadwood Road, then turn right, along a decent forest track.
