A circular walk around Nuttall Wood and Stand.
The walk follows Nursery Brow , a stone sett path then veers off into the Chapelfield local nature reserve, a small enclave between housing that replaced old paper mills. The reserve is a Site of Biological Importance.
Crossing the main Ringley Road with extensive views of the city we visit Hurst and Nuttall Woods - descending to the Irwell Sculpture Trail which we follow briefly before re-entering the community woodland . These are the only significant gradients on the walk and are straightforward. The walk ends by crossing the golf course via a pleasant path enclosed by hedges.
Sorry, No toilets on route .
The main object of our walks is fresh air, exercise and the sheer enjoyment of walking with good company. For more on what to expect please follow the web address below.
