Overview

From the car park at Over Haddon we follow the River Lathkill downstream to Alport then its over fields to Harthill Hall. We continue uphill past Shining Bank Quarry then its downhill to the A6 with great views of Haddon Hall. A short walk along the banks of the River Wye takes us to the Monsal Trail and to our lunch stop at Bakewell. After lunch we climb steadily uphill across Haddon Fields to Shining Bank Quarry and Baltic Wood then follow footpaths along the edge of Lathkill Dale back to our start point.
