Plymouth Ramblers' annual New Year Day pilgrimage to Fur Tor is in the middle of Dartmoor, visiting the third highest point on Dartmoor. A typical high Dartmoor walk on challenging ground. Expect tussocks and boggy ground especially after heavy rainfall. Fantastic views on a clear winter's day, worth the effort to get there.
From the fee paying car park at Postbridge, we will be visiting Braddon Lake, Broad Down, East Dart river waterfall, Sandy Hole pass, North west passage, Cut Hill (3 highest point on Dartmoor) and Fur Tor, with brilliant views across North Dartmoor and Tavy Cleave. Reverse route back.
This walk will be lead by John Skinner and myself
