Overview

Via Hensting. Second of two walks that can be done together (with picnic) or separately.

From the church we briefly follow the Pilgrims Trail out into a meadow where field paths lead us to the lane at Whaddon Farm. The lane takes us up-hill where a Bridleway is taken towards Marwell with lovely views on route. After passing through some woodland an open wild flower meadow greets us where we take the footpath through the middle to join a bridleway. The track takes us to a footpath at Hensting, where a gradual rise angling across the hillside afords wonderful views as we return to Owslebury. The Ship Inn beckons those who wish to take some refreshment before returning to the starting point.
