Overview

This  flat walk takes in some of the attractive rivers and countryside around Oxford.

We begin by heading north along the Thames Path, passing the remains of former nunnery Godstow Abbey, before crossing over to follow the Oxford Canal towpath up to the village of Kidlington, where we stop for lunch and a pub stop (drinks only).

We then walk through farmland, passing Water Eaton Manor, back towards Oxford, roughly following the River Cherwell.

Bring a packed lunch, optional pub stop at the end.

Terrain: Countryside Footpaths, tarmac paths, fields. 

Travel: Take 09:47 from London Paddington, arrive Oxford 10:40.

Buy a return to Oxford.
