Overview

The seaside village of Parkgate, once a thriving seaside town, now a surreal experience being high and dry among the Dee Marshes, a well know birding paradise.  We pass remains of old ports, and collierys highlighting this areas maritime and industrial past.  As well as taking in the South Wirral Countryside, including Britain's first country park.  Post walk refreshments in the Boat House Inn on Parkgate front.  Although advertised as 10.5 miles, this walk is likely to be a few miles longer as can be extended. Please message Ash if you wish to join the walk
