Jill will be leading a circular walk with a steady climb at the beginning along the narrow coastal path with unfenced cliffs and deep drops. Walking past the remains of Alfred Nobel’s dynamite works and FWW munitions factory, old mine workings and steep cliffs where treasure wrecks lie. Turning inland past the WW2 Spitfire base to walk country roads and a narrow descending track, whilst remembering Winston Graham and Donald Healey. Finishing with refreshments at the beachside Tywarnhayle Inn.
Boot, food and drink. There is undulating rocky terrain which could be slippery and muddy, and possibly a strong coastal wind. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome. There are beach toilets at the start and finish of the walk.
