Walking in the Camel District
Welcome to the Camel group of the Rambler's Association. We cover the beautiful Camel estuary, rugged moorlands, hidden valleys and attractive villages. From breathtaking views along the coastal fringes to the atmospheric Cornish rainforest, North Cornwall has it all.
Our group helps local people enjoy walking and protect the places we all love to walk. We organise regular walks led by local experts – a great way to get outside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness.
You’re very welcome to try walking with us, or to get involved in looking after paths and green spaces and opening up new places to explore.
Membership of a local walking group gives you the opportunity to join like-minded people to enjoy regular walks and social events. The walks in our programme are graded according to difficulty, making it easy for you to improve your fitness.
Walks leave promptly at the stated time so allow time to boot up and get ready. There are two or three walks a month organised by the Camel Group and they are open to all members of the Ramblers. The walks take routes off the beaten track and visit places it would be difficult to find alone.

Our area is a beautiful part of Cornwall offering many beautiful walks and scenery. We are a very friendly group and always welcome new members. Walks are designed for all capabilities and often finish with a welcome pint in the pub or a coffee in the cafe. We cover the rugged terrain of Bodmin Moor and the much envied North coastal paths.
