Overview

This walk will take you back through time the higher you climb.  The Grotto was built in the early 1830's as a romantic garden feature and the Folly which was originally built  in 1770's but demolished in 1940 as it was feared enemy bombers would use it as a land mark.  It was restored in 1994.

The walk starts on a cycle track and foot paths until we reach a steep  climb up across fields to the Grotto from here it is a much more gentle climb following a track to the Folly where you can take in the views around you.  We then head towards Little Mountain following the Cambrian Way before heading back down through Pontypool golf course, Pontypool Park and back to the start along the canal.

There are stiles.
