We’ll start our walk in the village of Newton.
From Beach Road, we will be passing old cottages, parks and lakes then using the cycle path to walk down to the beach at Rest Bay, Porthcawl.
Here, we join the Wales Coast Path, walking back along Rest Bay Beach towards the centre of Porthcawl where there will be public toilets available.
We then pass the Lighthouse and the beach at Sandy Bay before returning to Beach Road via Trecco Bay.
N.B. This is a flat urban walk but proper walking shoes are needed as we are walking along uneven surfaces.

Afterwards, we will go for refreshments to The Jolly Sailor.
Directions:
• Leave M4 at Junction 37 and drive towards Porthcawl.
• Follow the signs for Newton/Trecco Bay.
• Drive up Clevis Crescent towards Beach Road.
• Park your car after the Playground either left or right on Beach Road.
• Parking is free.
