7.25 miles on quiet roads, footpaths and some tracks. There are several stiles.
This pleasant walk takes us out of Presteigne into the countryside through pretty woodland areas, onto old pastures and down some ancient tracks.
We will start at Wents Meadows at 10am and finish for the group's picnic lunch at the same place about 1.30 or just before.
Best to park in various locations in Presteigne town, there are several public car parks and walk to the starting point. Ask any local, they’ll point you in the right direction.
We are meeting in a large Dutch barn (domed roof) at Wents Meadow in the middle of open green space. Near by is the outdoor play park and community orchard.
