Description:
We will walk from the town up to and through the quiet village of Whiteleaf and in some of the world’s best chalk hills and wonderful wildlife habitats next to Chequers. More info at https://www.bbowt.org.uk/nature-reserves/grangelands-and-rifle-range
After 3.5 miles we will stop at 6pm to enjoy the festivities of the annual Cherry Pie Festival at The Plough at Cadsden (which was a great success last year, it having been revived after the break due to covid). We will stay for 2 hours having an opportunity there to eat from their excellent visiting burger van or purchase food provided by Buckmoorend Farm Shop and home-made cherry bakes, have a drink and enjoy a social time. At 8pm we will resume our walk via Brush Hill, and hopefully watch the sun set at 8.48pm as we return back to Princes Risborough via Whiteleaf Cross.
