Starting beside the River Clunie the walk climbs gently up the Queen's Drive, a carriage drive once favoured by Queen Victoria, with good views opening up. The walk continues past the rock outcrop known as the Lion's Face and then descends to follow a path above the Deeside road. There is a short steepish climb to the Cromlins viewpoint before descending back through woodland to Braemar
NOTE: This walk has been arranged in conjunction with the pre-advertised coach trip to Bramar. The walk will begin shortly after the coach arrives in Braemar. There are a couple of steepish but short climbs. There is a narrow path with tree roots above the Deeside road, so poles may be useful. Local grade C+.
