Rachel's Famous Short Walks: Top of Cilgwyn + Rock Cannon D 4

This is Rachel's last official walk for Eryri, her range of gentle innovative walks from Fron have given pleasure and encouragement to many members and potential members - we are very grateful to Rachel. This walk has stunning mountain and sea views and includes a visit to the rock cannon above the Nantlle Valley. Over moorland paths & up to the top of Cilgwyn, pausing for breath & widening views of sea, Llyn, mountains. Down to the track above the covered tip, back for coffee/soup in the Canolfan café.
Grade D 4 miles Ascent 100 feet
Two of our experienced leaders John Hammond and Alison Weetman will be continuing the theme established by Rachel of short and easy walks and you might even see Rachel on them! Thank you Rachel for your invaluable contribution to the success and popularity of Eryri Ramblers.
