Overview

Rannerdale is a picturesque valley between Crummock Water and Buttermere and is famous for its bluebells, which are unusual in that they grow on open fellside as opposed to their more usual woodland habitat. If we are lucky, the bluebells will be our early and we will see the display.

We may have time for some delicious ice cream at Buttermere before walking around Crummock Water (with a nice lunch spot) on the way back to our cars.
