This circular walk takes us out of Redbourn using the disused railway line known as the Nickey line. The line was build initially to connect Straw Plait making of Hemel Hampstead to Hat making industry of Luton. The line was designed to give a railway station in the centre of Hemel. We stay on the Nickey line until we reach Woodhall Farm once we have crossed Woodhall farm we head to Stags End and then on to Flamsteadbury Farm with its equestrian centre and then back to Redbourn.
After the walk there will be an opportunity for some refreshments at the Hollybush.
Please park along Hemel Hempstead Road or at the car park on Redbourn Common (AL3 7NG) which is a 5 minute walk away.
No need to pre-book or contact the leader in advance. If already a Ramblers member, please just bring your Ramblers card (or membership details on the app) to help speed up the Ramblers register before we start the walk.
