An enjoyable 4 mile circular walk from Reigate Heath, along wide tracks and public bridleways, across farmland and fields where we shall see horse paddocks on either side of the track. We pass 16th and 17th century farm houses and enjoy wonderful views towards Box Hill and the North Downs. We pass Trumpets Hill which was formerly the site of one of six windmills which existed in the local area. Continuing on we pass pillboxes that were built during the Second World War and Wonham Mill. Once back on Reigate Heath we cross the golf course, to Reigate Heath Windmill and enjoy views towards Reigate Hill.
Lots of local history along the way. Why not bring a picnic lunch to enjoy after the walk or you may wish to visit The Skimmington Castle for a meal and/or drink?
