Overview

This year’s Remembrance Day’s walk is a 7.5 mile walk on Cannock Chase visiting the sites of many First World War training activities and some sites of the Second World War, including the Commonwealth and the German war cemeteries.

As usual at 11 a.m. we will observe a 2-minute silence to remember the sacrifice of the armed forces on our behalf.

We will be walking on mainly well used paths over one of the premier areas of natural beauty in the Midlands. There is a little climbing in parts, although nothing too strenuous and we will enjoy some excellent views

There is a café we can use for our morning break.

If anyone is going straight to the start please let leader know in case there are any change to the plan due  to bad weather or delays getting to the start.
