We leave Ripley on the Nidderdale way and walk to Hampsthwaite, Birstwith and along to the New Bridge where we cross the River Nidd. We then make our way to Shaw Mills and then climb to Hill top. The return is through Bedlam.
Could be muddy in a couple of places.

Meet at Ripley Cross. Pay and display car park with toilets, some roadside parking in the village, or waste land at Birthwaite Lane. Ripley is on the 36 bus route which runs between Leeds, Harrogate and Ripon. Please check bus times to ensure you are in Ripley for 10am - the start of the walk
