A short flat pleasant walk, with a couple of stiles and just 110ft of ascent. From Riseley, we head east along a short stretch of the Devil's Highway, a Roman road connecting Londinium (London) to Calleva Atrebatum (Silchester). The route then loops round through Bramshill Plantation before walking across fields and along quiet country lanes past Riseley Mill and Wellesley Water Meadow.
Please note that there will be a short stop for drinks/snacks, but no formal lunch stop on this walk.
Meet at Riseley Memorial Hall for a 12:00 midday start. If the car park is full, please park considerately in nearby roads.
There is an option to have tea and cake at the Riseley Memorial Hall after the walk, but this has to be booked in advance. If you'd like to join us for tea and cake after the walk, please contact Sue (07899 916 748 or seblack.viola@gmail.com) by Sunday 23rd March.
