Overview

From Heathfield Common we walk to Quick Bridge, then gradually up to Parkland, where we take a permissive path through Rook Wood to Middle Rook and West Rook, ending up with an easy descent on the lane back to Heathfield. The route is mainly sheltered, on woodland paths and tracks that may be muddy in parts. There are three stiles, including a ladder stile, and a stony stream bed to cross.
