Circular walk heading south through fields to pick up the forestery tracks through Ty Rhug. Following lunch is a climb up the lower flanks of Foel Eryr to connect to Bwlch Gwynt. From here it is mostly downhill through Pantmaenog Forest back to Rosebush.
This walked is classed as strenuous due to milage and a brisk walking pace.

The footpath runs close to a settlement site at Bernards Well.
The interesting earthworks at Pen Palis was once thought to be part of a roman road network.
There is the possibility of a 1 mile detour if the stepping stones are covered by the river. This happens often, following heavy rain.
