Overview

PLEASE NOTE THE EARLIER START TIME FOR THIS AND FUTURE WINTER WALKS

A pleasant rural walk from Langford Budville down to the Tone at Runnington House. From there, along the Tone and the course of the Grand Western Canal, through Rewe Meade nature reserve to Lower Wellisford, then returning past Stancombe Farm and Langford Heathfield.

This is a five mile walk with (unfortunately) 10 stiles. It is nearly all footpaths and would be suitable for dogs on leads although on recce there were stock in 3 fields.

It is likely to be very wet underfoot with mud in parts.
