Overview

START ALONG EVE BLACK WAY (UNLESS WANT TO WALK ON BEACH IF LOW TIDE)

PASS BLYTH BATTERY AND CAN STOP FOR SHORT COFFEE/WATER STOP AT SEATING AREA AT BLYTH BEACH HUTS.  ALSO, FACILITIES AND CAFES.

ONTO SOUTH DOWN FARM, WALKING AROUND MEGGIE’S BURN RESERVOIR.  ALONG THROUGH KISSING GATE INTO WOODED AREA.  FIELDS AND FARM TRACKS/ROAD TO TURN LEFT ONTO THE AVENUE., PASS THE CHURCH OF OUR LADY AND SEATON DELAVAL HALL, THROUGH HOUSING ESTATE AND WALK TOWARDS SEATON SLUICE UPPER HARBOUR AND SEATON BURN.  FOLLOW PATH UNDER THE ROAD BRIDGE AND AT THE LOWER HARBOUR SHARP LEFT AND CLIMB UP STEPS.

TERRAIN – DUNE PATH (OR BEACH – BUT THE SAND IS VERY SOFT AND HARD GOING UNDER FOOT) – ACROSS FARM TRACKS/WOODLAND AND ROADS – ENDING AT SEATON SLUICE HARBOUR. RELATIVELY FLAT ROUTE.

REFRESHMENTS – CAN EITHER GO BACK TO CAR PARK IF LEFT LUNCH IN CAR OR GO DIRECTLY TO KING’S HEAD TO SIT AND EAT LUNCH WITH A COOL GLASS OF SOMETHING.  OR THE HARBOUR VIEW ON BERESFORD ROAD, FAMOUS FOR ITS FISH AND CHIPS.
