A walk through the green spaces of SE London starting at the Woolwich Elizabeth Line exit and walking through the historic Woolwich Arsenal to reach the Thames Path. Following the path westwards until the Thames Barrier where we leave and follow the Capital Ring through Maryon Wilson Park, Charlton Park, Woolwich Common and into the ancient woodlands of Oxleas Wood. We pass Severndroog Castle to reach the cafe where we can stop for lunch and take in stunning views of west Kent and east Surrey. A short walk through Oxleas and Shepherdleas Woods takes us to Falconwood Station (National Rail) where our walk ends.
Mainly level, surfaced paths initially. Some steeper slopes and flights of steps and the woodland paths may be muddy after heavy rain.
No need to book, just turn up and make yourself known.
