Overview

This is a pretty walk across the low-lying countryside of the Cam Valley, taking in stretches of the River Shep, a few gentle slopes and some wooded sections.

Our trail takes in the RSPB Fowlmere nature reserve, before returning to Shepreth. A pub stop is possible in Shepreth upon our return for those who would like to stay on. Return trains operate at 39 minutes past the hour to Cambridge.

Meet at the Shepreth Train station, SG8 6PZ, TL391481 at 10:45.

For those coming by train, a return ticket is £4.30. Take the 10:26 train from Cambridge at platform 3 to arrive at Shrepreth. Off Street parking is available in Shrepreth. There are no toilets at Shepreth station.

Please bring a packed lunch, a drink, waterproofs, and walking wear.
