Overview

From Smatcher Wood Car Park we take a track down to Yardro and cross the stream in Gilwern Dingle to our coffee stop. Circling back past Court of Gladestry we manage to find another bridge crossing the stream further up  then it's through a wood and up Burl Hill for lunch. We return past Pool Redding looking down into Cwm Gwalley to join the route of  my previous walk back to the car park.

Obvious access is from the lane almost opposite the turning to New Radnor off the A44 but this is very steep and narrow with an acute right turn into the unsigned car park. From Kington I take the first turn on the left after Walton signposted Yardro and turn right twice, the car park is then on the left.
