We are the Solihull Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Circular walk heading south from Bidford. The walk takes in the woods around Dorsington and then heads towards Cleeve Prior across fields before heading back to Bidford along Shakespeare’s Avon Way by the river.
Mostly easy walking with a few small hills and some good views. Has a half mile stretch along the Welford Road near the beginning.
If you would like to car share, we are meeting at Lady Byron Lane, Knowle (Old Warwick Road) Solihull B93 9AG (near J5 of the M42) for a departure time of 09: 00 am. Lifts are subject to availability. This is a round trip of approx. 50 miles and a voluntary donation of £6 is considered to be a reasonable contribution towards the costs incurred by the driver.
Walk starts: Saxon Fields Car Park, Sallieforth Place, Bidford-on-Avon, B50 4JA, free carpark with 56 spaces, if full then additional free parking 300 meters away.
