We will take the canal then over the A56 on safe crossings to Stretford meadows. We will cross the meadows to the Transpennine Trail, and onto the Mersey at the Riverside Cafe where we will have a coffee stop. We return to the A56 and take the Kickety Brook path back via Stretford Cemetery.
Walk is mainly on good paths, although there may be mud, depending on the weather. There is some road walking, but main roads are crossed at lights. There will be a stop for coffee half way at Riverside Coffee by the river. There are portable toilets at the cafe. Only suitable for dogs on leads.
