We are the Biddulph Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
From the Swettenham Arms pub this walk takes us down Swettenham Lane to Davenport Park Lane over the River Dane, passing Davenport Hall and crossing over to Davenport Lane to Brereton Heath Local Nature Reserve.
We take the outer footpath through the woods and Country Park leading to the visitor centre to then walk the footpath around the mere.
We retrace our steps back to the Davenport estate to re-cross the Dane and to the car park.
This is not a pub walk although the pub is open and serving food with some lunchtime specials i.e. fish and chips.
