Overview

Following the Taff Trail, the walk takes us over Cefn viaduct. We then cut through the Taff Fechan nature reserve and follow the river along a wooded path before returning to the Taff Trail. We cross Pontsarn viaduct and on towards Ponticill. We then cross the river, climb a stile or two and walk through farmland to Vaynor Church for lunch. The walk then takes us back through woodland and over the river to rejoin the Taff trail further along

The walk is dog friendly, but dogs will need to be kept on leads when meeting other dog walkers along the Taff trail and when crossing farmland.There are some stiles, gates and slopes. The Taff trail is easy walking, but there may be some slippery parts of the paths through the woods and fields.
