A walk through history of the Teesside area. I will set the scene of the birth of Middlesbrough from farmland to becoming the industrial heartbeat of the country and it's demise as heavy industry declined. Starting at Flatts Lane we will walk along the lower reaches of Eston Hills passing the disused mines and carrying on along the old railway lines. Reaching and walking along the quiet Wilton Lane we take in the local scenery before going through woods and farmland as we gradually climb up to the highest point of the hills (Nab) where we will have magnificent views of Teesside. We then walk across the moor returning to Flatts Lane Country Park.
