Walking in the countryside around Northallerton
Our friendly and active group walks on a Thursday and offers a choice of two or three walks each week, each accommodating up to 20 walkers. Our membership is substantial and growing and comes from across many parts of North Yorkshire, Darlington and Teesside.
We aim to enable walkers of all abilities to participate so the walks can range from 7 to 12 miles, and be in the Dales, on the moors or on the coast. Come on a walk with us before making up your mind about joining Northallerton Ramblers.
To join a walk you must pre-book. Visit our website to see details of our walks and the booking system.
We enjoy social time together with meals and other events locally and a range of group holidays each year to enable us to walk further afield.
We have a varied choice of walks every week celebrating the beautiful countryside in North Yorkshire and County Durham. With our efficient booking system walks are limited to 20 which makes them safer, more enjoyable and more sociable. We celebrate the end of a walk with tea and cakes at one of the many excellent cafes. We also enjoy exploring further afield with residential visits – recent examples are the Yorkshire Wolds Way, The Roaches, the Lake District, the Ridgeway and Offa’s Dyke.
Our committee is pro-active in listening to members, supports those who are thinking of contributing walks and encourages guest walkers.
