From the pub we visit David Allard's memory bench - over looking Therfield Heath. We continue down the Icknield Way to the old rifle range. Turning left following the tree belt to Church Hill. Down on to the gallops on to Thrift Farm. Return to Therfield via Chain Walk.
This is a challenging walk with a number of steep ascents and descents through woodland areas. If it rains before the walk it could be quite Slippy. So please bring your walking poles.
Only assistance dogs allowed.
The Fox and Duck Public house. Car parking at the pub for those members that stay for refreshments. Otherwise please park considerately in nearby streets.
