Overview

Heading East, we cross the river Derwent on to the disused railway track.  Then we head west towards Rowlands Gill where we cross the road and on up the wooded valley to the top of Spen Banks.  We then turn and head back via High and Low Thornley to the start.   There were no cows or bulls encountered on the pre-walk.

There will be a refreshment stop en route.

This walk is being lead by Justin Pearce.
