We are the Devon Bootlegs Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This walk is in the region of 12 miles and will start and end at Thurlestone. We will do the inland section of the walk first, crossing open fields and tracks and through the villages of South Huish and Galmpton, then onto Bolberry Down. From there, we will take the Coastal Path all the way along to Bantham, passing the likes of Hope Cove and South Milton Sands along the way. This is a very scenic section of the Coast Path with some lovely beaches to stop for a paddle or swim if the weather is kind to us.
Some of us will be eating afterwards as usual and everyone is welcome to join us. Pub location to be decided, any suggestions greatly received.
This is the first of two days of walking as part of our Challaborough Weekender. Some of us will be staying at Challaborough Bay Holiday Park for the weekend. Everyone is welcome to join us on either or both days.
