From CP we ascend Shutlingsloe (if weather is fine, if not we take the lower path). We then descend via Banktop to Clough House. Then we ascend via Cumberland Brook to Cat’n Fiddle and onwards to Shining Tor where there should be fine views if the weather is good. Descend to Lamaload Reservoir, then Higher Ballgreve Farm and across the fields to Walker Barn. Up Charity Lane, then walk through the forest track to Forest Chapel, from where we descend back down through forest tracks to Trentabank Reservoir CP.
Mainly moderate walk of 13 miles and 2876 ft ascent. Please bring packed lunch and other snacks. Sorry no dogs.
Trentabank Reservoir CP is a charge car park, £4.75 for the day (takes coins and RingGo, but not cards) but there are usually ample marked parking spaces on the road that are free.
