Overview

Hello Everyone

We're off towards Stoke-on-Trent this Sunday with a sortie led by Nige and Rob starting from Trentham Shopping Village and heading over to Barlaston before returning to back to base on a circular route. Varied terrain includes field footpaths, canal towpaths, quiet roads, eleven stiles and a couple of timber staircases, one of which is in the photos above. Later on we'll be climbing up to the Duke of Sutherland monument making this a Moderate grade event overall despite the relatively short total mileage.

As always, you're most welcome to join us. If this is your very first time with the group we'd appreciate it if you could let us know you'll be coming along a day or two beforehand please. If nothing else we can look out for you at the start point which is likely to be busy with early shoppers arriving. Thank you.

Registration: 09.45. Walk start: 10.00. Walk leaders: Nige (07984 624810) and Rob (07954 170369)

Facilities available near the start in the Shopping Village, but not during the walk. ⚠️Allow a few minutes to walk there and back please.

Post walk refreshments at one of the various establishments on site. Opportunity for a little retail therapy should you wish to browse the shops, including a few outdoor retailers.

See you all there on Sunday morning. Hoping the fine weather will continue.☀️
