Overview

After meeting in Batridge Road Car Park, at Turton and Entwistle Reservoir, we leave via the car park's back entrance and head under the railway viaduct down to Wayoh Reservoir. We follow the western bank of the reservoir before proceeding up through the pretty village of Chapeltown, carefully following the B6391 before heading down to Jumbles Reservoir. Following Jumbles’ western bank, we then pass round its southern end to our lunch stop at Jumbles Country Park Café where you can buy your lunch or a drink, or eat your packed lunch.

After lunch, we’ll follow the path around the eastern side of Jumbles, heading up through the village of Edgworth before tracking around the eastern bank of Wayoh Reservoir. Finally, we climb up to the hamlet of Entwistle, where you can either stop off for a well-earned drink at the Strawbury Duck, or, via Edge Lane, pass back down to Turton and Entwistle Reservoir, and return your car.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but they must be kept on a lead.
