Overview

From Tutbury we make our way on footpaths across farmland towards Hanbury and visiting the

Fauld Crater, created on 27 November 1944 when the RAF Fauld underground munitions depot exploded.  It was one of the largest non-nuclear explosions in history and the largest on UK soil.

As we approach Tutbury on our return journey we will have great views of the Castle.
