From Capel y Baran perched high on open moorland, we follow the Clydach river gorge as it broadens into a nature reserve. Up across farmland to Mynydd Gellionen where we find Chapel Gellionen, resplendent against the backdrop of Swansea Bay and Mumbles Head. Onward across open moor amongst unexplained standing stones we encounter Carn Llachart, a neolithic stone circle. Ahead, open moorland frames our first chapel again as we draw our walk to a close.
A mixture of terrain requires stout footwear and poles are suggested. We will encounter open moorland, fields and some wet/muddy paths down in Clydach gorge.
Livestock in fields, so sorry, not suitable for dogs.
