Overview

Starting at the Wellington statue we will explore the new Wellesley development incorporating historic military structures and monuments. We then walk along the Queens Avenue to join the Basingstoke canal past lakes and aqueduct following the Blackwater valley before returning to the military town near North Camp. Lunch stop with cafe available for drinks & toilets. Return past Military Museum (not open) across playing fields to rejoin Basingstoke canal. Final stretch through Duke’s Wood back to statue.
