Walking in Surrey Heath and beyond
We are a vibrant and friendly group that offer walks in and around the Surrey, Berkshire, and Hampshire countryside. You’ll find that our reputation for making visitors and new members welcome is well-deserved!
Our walks
On our led walks you’ll meet like-minded people and make new friends. They make use of the many Nature Reserves, footpaths and bridleways that are within a 40 minute drive from our area. You’ll get the chance to discover new places, amazing wildlife and enjoy nature whilst taking in the stunning views of the Surrey Hills and surrounding countryside.
If you need more inspiration, visit our Facebook page [link] to see some photos of our recent walks.
Our walking community
If you’re unsure of where to start, join us on one of our led walks. We offer up to three walks each week catering for all ages and abilities, and they range from 90 minutes to four hours.
As a potential Rambler you can attend three led walks free of charge before deciding whether to become a member. And we welcome and enjoy showing our lovely countryside to visiting Ramblers as well.
It’s not just walking we offer – we support the Surrey Countryside Access team in maintaining and clearing footpaths and installing kissing gates within our area. And as a group we are committed to help protect our Right of Way, and maintain our local footpaths.
We also enjoy the social aspect of being part of a walking group and try to arrange at least three social events every year, alongside the group walking holidays that we also offer.
We support and mentor our members who wish to offer walks or events to the group.
